Overheating Jeep Cherokee, No Heat in Cabin

  1. My 2014 Jeep Cherokee is overheating while blowing cold air in the cabin. I checked my coolant and it's full. Problems started when I was driving home one night in freezing temps/the car had been parked outside for about 17 hours. I could hear squeaking while the car could only drive sluggishly. When I started the heat/cranked it up, the squeaking immediately stopped. But it seemed like..something broke? And then only blew cold air the rest of the drive/about 20 minutes. I noticed the engine overheating the next day, while, yeah, no heat, just cold air. About 150,000 miles, automatic transmission. Thanks for any help!

Well maybe the fan belt broke that runs the water pump. Then it wouldn't pump water and it would overheat and you wouldn't get heat in the cabin either. Or let's say you didn't have the right amount of coolant. If it got cold enough the water pump itself would freeze then the belt would break and the water pump might be broken too
