Thinking about buying one with 78K for 8K does anyone know the reliability of these? I know there is also a 5.7 are there any red flags when buying one of these?
They are good cars. This one has the 305 Chevy V8 which is a good motor. The 5.7 (350) you were also referencing is also a Chevy V8 motor. Are you sure that this one is 78,000 original miles and not 178,000 or 278,000? Because at the time, the odometer would reset back to zero after 99,999 miles. Have your local mechanic look it over and make sure the mileage is exact because it's also 30 years old. Is this also from a dealer or private party?

If the mileage is exact with a thumbs up from the mechanic, then buy it because the price of that is good.

i had a 90 with a 350. you're going to have to get used to floating down the road and being able to put 4 people in it with comfort.
sure, the mpg isn't great but its a 4000 pound car and if you run over a Prius, you won't even feel the bump! {pear}:laughingoutloud:
