1992 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser Heater Core

Hi. I have a '92 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser that I just picked up. There was a leak in the heater core and a previous owner did a bypass on it. I'm going to have it fixed now, and I'm wondering if an aluminum core is acceptable, or if I should go for brass/copper.

Well brass copper last a lot longer. Depends on how long you plan on keeping that thing. The aluminum generally won't corrode for 8 or 10 years anyways

Guy I bought it from actually gave me an aluminum one he never got around to installing. I'll just go ahead and use it. Thanks for the advice.

It's my second OCC, actually. Gave up the first after some medical stuff. I decided I needed something I could tow or move stuff with, and this has WAY more character than any truck I could have bought.
