Car bounces on acceleration

Topic starter

I have a 1981 Chrysler cordoba with 78k miles a 318 and an automatic transmission and it was bought from a private party. It bounces when i try to accelerate between 45-55. If i push the pedal to the floor i can (sometimes) skip the bounce and i need to get it fixed but havent found any information online. Any help would be AMAZING.

Your shocks are probably shot. The shocks' job is to dampen motion when accelerating and decelerating. When they're worn out, they will do precisely that.
