I am considering a 1995 4 cylinder Camry with 190,000 miles on it...
My question concerns the engine, are the '95 4 cylinder engines the ones with bad piston rings?
How do I confirm if this car has one of the oil burners?
Thank you.
You can check the FAQ Used Car Buying guide and find these sorts of information, FAQ<"I Need to Buy a Vehicle"
The faulty piston rings were for the 2.4 2AZ-FE 4 cylinder in the 2007-2009 Toyota Camry.
No, that engine did not have bad piston rings. The engine in the 1995 4 cyl Camry was the 5S-FE which was one of the best engines ever made.
sorry, accidental down vote, up voted it

shouldnt be an issue get an inspection if iu can get it cheap enough
It sounds like it might be a good car, and it is a 5 speed, but the seller just raised the price so I will continue looking.
Thank you.
