Hey guys I'm having an issue. My mustang keeps on flickering overdrive off I pressed the overdrive button on my automatic shifter to turn on and it did not work I've checked the fuses all of them work not sure if it's an engine problem you guys be the judges

You probably have a short in the switch or wiring to the switch at the end of the shifter column. Pull the cover off the steering wheel column and inspect the wiring for damage.
The switch itself is a simple grounding switch. A couple years ago I was replacing the shifter boot and accidentally broke the cable to the same switch in my 1999 Ranger. I noticed that touching the two wires together turned the overdrive off, opening the circuit turned it on. I soldered the wires back together and haven't had an issue since.
