Hello! I have a 1995 Toyota Landcruiser 80 series with a standard transmission with only around 105000km. It has a 1HZ engine, naturally aspirated straight six diesel engine with indirect injection.

Theres been this knocking/tapping noise which occurs during cold start at night but also does it in the morning albeit not as noticeable. It also does the sound during a hot start when the engine is fully warmup. It sounds like an exhaust leak.

In the video, if u raise the volume high u can clearly hear it almost like a heatshield knocking/tapping sound besides the noise generated by the diesel engine. I have checked all the heatshield under the car and near the exhaust all are good and tight. I would really appreciate it if everyone give their insight of what it could be. Thanks!
