Hi! How can I fix a 1996 mercedes e300 having soft brakes that require too much pressure

take it to a mechanic for brake service

Check the large vacuum hose running from the intake manifold to the brake booster of cracks or leaks. Check your brake master cylinder for proper brake fluid level and if the fluid looks dirty or very dark colored, it's time to flush, refill and bleed the brake system.
