1996 Toyota Corolla 114,000 KM, Automatic

Hey Scotty, I have a 1996 Toyota Corolla, low kms. Lately it cranks but wont start. No lights on the dash. Garage has had the car almost 2 weeks and is ready to give up. They can't figure out what's wrong with it. Cranks but wont start, if I do manage to get it to start after trying enough times by turning the key slowly into the 1st 2 spots enough times, after awhile it will start and run fine. I can drive it without any issue. Drove it for a solid week, no issues. Once the car sits for about a day, back to square 1 again. Any advice would be helpful. They've already ruled out fuses, fuel pump, injection system, and many other things...they're running out of options and I might have to decide what to do the car; thanks.

You may have a hinky 28-year-old ignition switch. There is information on troubleshooting a no-start condition in the site FAQ.

Thanks. As soon as I found out for sure what it was, I'll be sure to update here.
