Howdy!

I finally got my high idle situation sorted and the vehicle is running WAY better than it has since I've had it. It's no longer popping codes (woot!).

So now I feel comfortable moving onto the next project with this vehicle and that will be to add in some new speakers and eventually an after market four channel amp.

I know that this model year did not come with speakers in the back doors but there are screw holes and a speaker grills on those two doors. I'm wondering if this year and model is WIRED for speakers in the rear doors and GM just didn't put any in.

I'm pulling my 5.25 inch alpine speakers from my old '95 Sable, so I'm not worried about fit I'm just wondering if I can plug and play (with a harness) in the Cadillac.

Remove the grills and look.

I was under the impression that I ad to remove the door panel. I'll get a trim tool on the grill and see if I can release just the grill. Would you happen to know how the amp would be affected if I added those two extra speakers into the sound system? Would it put out less power to each speaker? is it designed to handle up to 11 speakers with out issue?
