It has been sitting a year and wont start, i hooked a jump box up to the vehicle and still only cranks, i  spray a little starting fluid in the intake and still barely tries to fire, ive gotten it close but not enough to fire up. I hear the fuel pump kick on and am not sure if it would be a fuel filter issue or the spider injectors. But maybe it could be a crankshaft sensor. Well here i made it into a YouTube video so you can see what i mean

Try timing it with a timing light the could be to advanced witch can cause that

Basic engine checks:

- air filter

- spark plugs

- clean MAF

- fuel pressure

You're not getting a strong crank either. Get a proper battery or jump it to another running truck.

Change the battery first, if it doesn't have enough juice, the starter and ignition system won't have enough power to start and run the engine. The starter seems fine from the video.

I'd say if it has a distributor, check or change the distributor (cap and rotor too) and the wires as well. Make sure the plugs are in good shape as joe said.
