Hey Scotty.
I am planning to buy a '98 Toyota 4Runner from a private seller. Car has 200018 miles on it, drives well and has no codes nor lights on dash board, frame is in good condition. Asides from the cosmetic damaged, I noticed that there is a bit of a burning smell coming from the motor bay and my guess will be from the age of the vehicle. Should I consider buying it or walk away? Guy is selling it for 15 hundred the lowest. Thank you in advance.

the smell could be an oil leak. 1500 for a 23 year old truck isn't too bad, but buyer beware

i would buy it to play with if it checks out, even if i had to put another $1500 in it for repairs
most anything running down here gets $2500 lol
