I have a 99 dodge 1500 5.2L. I lost spark when I had to tighten my bolts on my flywheel.
I put in a new coil,crank position sensor, cam position sensor, distributer, cap,rotor.
I have spark going into the top of the distributer cap but no spark coming from the cap on all cylinders.
I took the crank position sensor out and mimic the crank with a screwdriver and the truck tried to start.
I put the sensor back in and it's the same thing cranking but no start.
I have even put my scanner on there at the beginning of the job and have no code or anything in the freez fraim.
I need help from someone with more experience than me.

Hi there I have fuel and spark. I just cant get the spark from the distributer to the plugs. I've reset timing TDC crankshaft position sensor camshaft sensor coil distributer cap and rotor. I pulled out the crankshaft position sensor and mimicked the RPM with a screwdriver and it tried to start but didn't stay going. I'm at a loss now what to try next. I have even put a scanner on and it reads no codes or nothing in the freez frame. When I mimicked the crank with the screwdriver is the only time I got a code to pop up.
Did you take the distributor cap off and make sure the rotor is turning?
I have also had a stupid moment in the past where I left out the rotor when installing a new cap. LOL
That was many moons ago and everyone has dumb moments.
Also, the flywheel... there is a magnet on it that swings by the sensor ( I believe) is it still there? Been a while since I worked on one of these.
@autoelectrical
Yes sir I took the cap off and checked if the rotor was there and turning.. I did pull that booboo the stupid thing was I was holding it in my hand when I was having my lady crank on it lol. I will check on the magnet I'm also going to try backing off the bolts on the flex plate since that's where all my trouble started was when I tightened them down. Maybe I went to far. Thank you for your time....
Thank you. Let me know what you find. I want to know what you found that fixed this. Thanks again.
