Hello Everyone,

I have a 1999 Lexus ES300 with about 170k miles on it. I was trying to diagnose a fuel trim issue I was having when I noticed something odd about the behavior of bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 2. In the picture below, Bank 1 Sensor 1 stays between .6 v and 1v, with small fluctuations, while bank 2 sensor 2 swings from 0v to .8v rapidly.

My car is rated for California, and uses Air fuel ratio sensors. Am I correct in my thinking that the previous owner put in an o2 sensor instead of an Air fuel ratio sensor?

Thanks,

Bamboozler

You either have to assume that something is causing the erratic graph reading or the o2 sensor is in itself faulty. What codes does your car display?
