Hey Scotty, I recently bought a 99' 4Runner Limited from my grandparents for $400.It's got 199k miles and it's currently in the shop right now getting the rear passenger side axle seal replaced. It has a couple more issues and I was wondering if it would be worth fixing. All of the struts are worn out, AC doesn't work (thinking the compressor is worn out), and the driver's side door doesn't lock without setting the alarm off roughly 15-30 minutes later. There was also an issue with the transmission where it wouldn't get into gear right away. It shifts extremely smooth and gets into gear smoothly most of the time, but it was just kinda sitting trying to get into drive. Hoping that might've been a problem with the axle, but I'm thinking that's unrelated. Thanks in advance!
You got the car for $400 and it's got about 200k miles. If it still drives ok, then I think it's worth fixing what's wrong on the car.
