Honda Fit opinions

I recently got a honda fit for my first car, about 158,000 miles (mostly highway). Well maintained, shifts and drives well, transmission fluid still pink. Only tripped a code for TPMS after a 1 hr road test. Does anyone have any advice, experience with a fit, or things to look out for?

Thank you

Out of curiosity, what made you choose this over the 2004 Matrix?

the Matrix had rust, lower control arm bushings broken, out of alignment, valve cover gasket leak, leaking struts and the paint was a slightly different shade on the back

Congratulations!

Those are extremely simple & reliable cars which require hardly any attention. Change the fluids regularly & adjust the valves every once in a while & you should be all set.

Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner’s manual. Occasionally, if the cowl drains are clogged, they are prone to rusting under the cowl (below the windshield), so keep an eye out for that.

thank you! I was the one looking at the fit and the matrix. After getting the matrix looked at it was driven really hard and had multiple problems the fit just hums along for $1800 less. Ride was a little rougher like people said but it handles little better in my opinion. @InTrustWeTrust

All’s well that ends well. Enjoy your new ride!
