Scotty,
I have a 2018 Mazda 3 2.5 L with 57,000 miles. When I start in manual mode 1st gear tends to shake a bit front to back and doesn’t wind up consistently when I hit the gas. Not sure what could be wrong. Note: when I’m in automatic mode, sport or not, everything seems fine.

Wow the transmission obviously has a problem and manual mode I would just leave it alone those things cost a fortune to rebuild

I guess it's supposed to let people think they're shifting? Want a manual, get a real manual transmission. Manual mode in automatics needs to go away, more problems than it's worth.
