Hello I have a 2011 automatic hyundai genesis 2.0T coupe with 71k miles and I dont know if or ever the transmission fluid has been changed. There is a bit of slipping, should I change my fuild or has the milage grown to large and I should just live with it?

Yeah you can probably change your fluid, the change interval was definitely missed (35k-50k depending on the exact model) but I think it’s still recoverable.

If I remember correctly, and don’t qoute me on this, The ‘11 2.0t came with a 5 speed Jatco JR507E (the same one from the Nissan skyline) and these can last you over 200,000 miles reliably.

given how you / the previous owners did / didn’t service it you’ll probably end up needing a valve body replacement - but that’s one of the only weak spots on that tranny. So if it goes out just replace it - I think it’s worth it.

(the others, (6 speed) 6ZF or (8 speed) 8LR last I’d say about 100-120k and 150-160k respectively)

Sounds good thank you I'll get that don asap

You should be ok to change it. It is past due, but not dramatically so.
