Could you please share your thoughts on the Rust proofing Oil spray? Is it a good thing or does it have any disadvantages in long term specially when the dust starts sticking to the oil in the engine bay area, Door jams etc?

It can help retard chassis rust. I spray my winter-driven vehicles underneath using Fluid Film each fall. (In fact I'll be doing that soon.) There are a number of similar products available.

Thank you for the info.
My car came with Rust proofing areas that were sprayed include Door jams, Some parts under the hood, Bottom of the car and Trunk area where the hydraulic bars open / close.

I've never heard of anybody using it on their door jambs.

Where do you intend to use it?
