What's your take on BMW e46 engines? I heard they're so resilent and nearly bulletproof (except with vanos - dr. vano replacement).
The only noticeable problem I have is the rear differential bushings which clunk everytime I put from P to R or D to R. This is a widely known problem with e46. Maybe it's a subframe issues as well because that plagues the entire 1999-2002 e46 chassis lineup. So.. that got me concerned.
Advice?

If you only talk about the engine, yes, they are really good engines but the rest of the car is junk.
