2000 Camry LE V6 CV axle clicks after long drive on interstate

When I've just finished driving 60 miles on the interstate at 75mph and I get to the first red light, when I go to turn right, I can hear my passenger CV axle clicking. It never does this during daily driving or after shorter interval interstate driving. I'm no mechanic - maybe it's low on grease or the grease is degraded? How can I tell if it's low on grease (other than the obvious gashes and grease flung everywhere).

If it's making noise then it's worn out and you need to replace it. It's far too late for grease.
