2001 Accord Intermittent Rough Idle

I have a 2001 Accord 3.0l V6, automatic transmission, 205,000 miles that has an intermittent rough idle when I stop. No codes are being thrown. Could it be the Idle Air Control Valve or a solenoid on the transmission?

It has a rebuilt title from a fender bender from a year ago- plan on keeping it till the wheels fall off.

Check the EGR ports by removing the intake manifold. Common problem on early Honda v6s.

The idle air control valve is a great place to start but also check the egr and pcv valves as well. They wear out and get plugged up as time goes on, also check your air filter, you'd be surprised what difference that makes.

I forgot to mention that it smooths out when I shift it into neutral or park when I stop and idle.

Since it is an intermittent problem, I'm guessing it's electrical/electronic. Like the solenoid on the torque converter or the IAC.

I do know it could just be the transmission wearing out. In which case I'll quote one of my other favorite YouTubers AVE- "if it's already dickered- what more harm can you do."  At the very least, I'll learn a lot about how transmissions work.
