Topic starter

07 accord 2.4L sedan. 125k. Headlights on and using any window button (up/down) the headlights dim... and dim bad. I dont have any clue where to look or whats going wrong. Please help. brand new battery much larger one than called for. dont believe any problems with alternator.  (no codes or dash error lights appear). note: only the headlight dim. the dash lights dont seem to have a problem. is this a sign of a bigger electrical problem ? should i sell my car ?

thank you

erin

you mean i have to replace each (4) window motor ?

Scotty does not usually revisit topics he has already answered. It's unlikely that all 4 window motors would develop the same problem at the same time. Given how old the car is (18 years) I would follow Scotty's advice to load test your battery and alternator if that has not been done (the absence of codes and dash lights is irrelevant), and also check grounds.

dont believe any problems with alternator

Faith doesn't work on cars. You need to actually measure it. Just get one of those cheapo voltmeters that plugs into the cigar lighter. Roll the window down and see what it says.

Well first have the alternator load test. If it's weak it will do that. If it's not that it means that your window motor is probably starting to wear out and it drains the electrical system too much

@scottykilmer It happens on all 4 windows. any one window i try both headlamps go dim. you mean i have to replace each (4) window motor ?
