Scotty,
my question is lengthy, this Ranger is well wow, something else. a few months back i was driving on the highway and it died. i coasted over waited 10 minutes, it started up, i took off, drove 5 miles and it did it again, actually 10 times in 75 miles... figured it was the fuel pump, changed it, then the crankshaft position sensor, then the idle air control (twice) and it still surges on idle, changed spark plugs, coil pack, old one had 12 cracks, but still works better than the new one. also, changed the PCV valve. Reset the computer and listened to your video yesterday on the way to reset the computer, so i did all that, and went for the 20 minute road trip, about the 14th mile it goes into limp mode and i still had to get back home, 8 more miles....i pulled over, let it sit, took battery cable off, did it all over again, and it's still in limp mode, couldn't get over 15 mph but i did manage to get home put in garage, shut it off and ready to torch the POS....but, a couple of months ago I ordered a new computer as I have 2 sets of keys, heck I can program them.....NOT
the case, new computer is in, but cant program the keys, you show in a video about a reprogrammer but i can't spend that kind of money, is there any other way to program the keys into the new computer. I have an Altel 319 OBD2 tester that has the ability to be plugged into a computer, is it possible for me to get on Ford Service.com to use the program?
I would appreciate your help....thanks Gary
Pthey can often be absolute stinkers but call in your area many locksmiths these days reprogram vehicles for keys for a very reasonable fee that's what I didn't use them before I left a husband wife team would come to people's houses and they were very reasonable try to find somebody like that
