My rear tire is showing uneven wear on the inside, causing cupping. When I run my hand over the tire, I notice a pattern of smooth spots interrupted by areas where it catches my hand.
What should my course of action be to get this problem resolved.

Check your rear suspension for worn parts and alignment.
this is usually from failed shocks/struts
hey, I replaced the rear shocks about 1.5 years ago. would they be worn out already? I think the two cost me like 100-140 bucks, so not the highest quality. I'm trying to find the brand of what I bought if I do i will update post.

I don't see any cupping in the photo. Just very severe inside wear.
Check/replace loose suspension parts and have a wheel alignment done.
