So my 2001 Toyota Celica was fine when it was accelerating, but when I let off the throttle and tried to maintain a constant speed, it was jerking and surging. At first, I thought it was just bad gas, but I put new gas into the thing and it still did it. Could it be a coil pack?
So my 2001 Toyota Celica is still surging. I took it to a local shop and they swapped out coil pack 1, then 2, then 3, to test if it was any of the coil packs. This has not helped. It is fine when accelerating, but when I let off the throttle and try to maintain a constant speed, it surges forward. I've tried different fuel types, but it doesn't help either. Any suggestions?

oh sorry about that.
@mpmeeuwsen No problem, just keep it in mind for the future.
will do!
How old are your air and fuel filters? Have you checked fuel pressure? Run a diagnostic scan?
@chucktobias I just saw this post and checked my air filter and there was a mouse nest under it in the air filter compartment.
@mpmeeuwsen I'd have to do a little research to know for certain but I don't think that mouse nests in the intake system enhance engine performance.
@chucktobias No? lol
@chucktobias lol 🙂
