Brakes jerky, make noise, afraid I wouldn’t stop used emergency brake, scary! Had ABS sensor replaced in August 2022 by now retired mechanic, now it is doing the same thing. New Mechanic said it had code ABS senor needs replaced. Same sensor I had replaced. Replace again or buy new Honda Civic lowest trim that is on the lot. Retired mechanic told me timing belt needs changed soon too. Steering wheel vibration over 60 mph retired mechanic said maybe buy new tires even though my tires are ok maybe old.
Help please!

Was the replacement ABS sensor OEM or was it a cheap aftermarket part?

How old are they? Beyond a certain point old tires are not OK. Depending on conditions they typically deteriorate after 6 or 7 years and should be replaced even if there's plenty of tread left. Vibration can also be caused by worn suspension components or wheel bearings.

That's up to you. Down side is spending a whole ton of money, and unless you have cash on hand, going into debt at a high interest rate. Plus side is not having to worry about nursing a nearly 22-year-old car through to the next thing that breaks.
I don’t know if the sensor was a Toyota part or not.
I’m not sure how old the tires are. Probably wise to get something else but very few used cars here. The used Toyotas have 75,000 and more miles on them for $27,000 sometimes more. Crazy times. I’d hoped to wait until prices got better.
Thank you everyone. I really appreciate your help. Wish I had someone to go with me. Women friends not helpful. I’m still thinking.
