How do I know which wheel is causing the light to come on? What level of code reader or scan tool do I need to fix the problem?
Forget to ask is your brake wobbling when braking at lower or higher speeds ?
No. To your question.
FYI ABS light comes on when I make a hard turn. Usually when coming out of or coming into a parking space. Comes on then stays on.
- The ABS controller could have stopped working.
- There might be a broken wire somewhere between the controller and the system’s sensors.
- A wheel speed sensor could be dirty or damaged in some way.
- There could be a blown fuse.
- Some vehicles show an ABS light when the brake fluid is low, but many vehicles have a separate light for that part of the system.
Yeah, you’ll need a dealer level scan tool for that.
Did you get your ABS module scanned for trouble codes?
Believe me, you do NOT want to replace any wiring harnesses. They installed on a bare body. You would have to strip down your vehicle.
Does anyone have the circuit diagram for the Front Passenger ABS wiring harness?
Does anyone have the procedure to change out the Front Passenger ABS Wiring harness?
Also, you'll want to contact your dealership service department to see if there are any technical bulletins affecting your car, such as this one. (they printed them out for me free of charge when I went there).

What was the result of your scan? Are you trying to repair broken speed sensor wires?

Important
Twisted-pair wires provide an effective "shield" that helps protect sensitive electronic components from electrical interference.
In order to prevent electrical interference from degrading the performance of the connected components, you must maintain the proper specification when making any repairs to the twisted-pair wires shown :
- The wires must be twisted a minimum of 9 turns per 31 cm (12 in) as measured anywhere along the length of the wires.
- The outside diameter of the twisted wires must not exceed 6.0 mm (0.2 in).
I need to replace the wiring harness. I was trying to figure out if I need to go all the way to the EBCM or if there is a connector in between.
connectors are on the diagram (chevrons)
C1222, C1226 and C1233
the actual meaning would be nice. I will look them up for the benefit of everyone else here:
Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction
Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Performance
Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Low Input
You need to test your sensor, and make sure the reluctor ring is clean and in good shape. If that doesn't help, then it seems the technical bulletin #PIC3192 applies to you and you should use the updated leads.
