Hey Scotty been a fan for almost 5 years. I have 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer Automatic 170k miles. It randomly revs up to 3-4K revolutions, typically when cold. My mechanic replaced the throttle position assembly ($200 part) but that only made it slightly better. Then my dad took it to the dealership where they scammed him out of $700 and fixed nothing. I need help

Well if it doesn't when it's cold it could be a simple as the temperature sensor for the computer is giving the wrong data they already did replace the throttle but our also check for vacuum which you could have a vacuum leak and when that sucks too much air it makes them idle too high
