Hi Scotty. I have a 2002 Lincoln Continental with 162000 miles. I'm having an issue when I turn on the defrost. Once the defroster is turned on the heat comes on and then it can't be turned off unless you increase the temp on the heater as far as it will go (90 degrees) and then back it down, one degree at a time until you reach the desired temp...which makes it quite hot in the summer time! Can you tell me what or why this is happening? Thanks so much! Rick

Seeing as how it does change I wouldn’t think a blend door problem but anything is possible. Otherwise I would look at the hvac controller or inputs like temp sensors. Does the vehicle have automatic climate control?
