2002 Toyota Sienna 3.0 V6 Automatic

233k miles was starting and running fine until one day it didn't...check engine light came on 3 days before this happened but never got to scan it and it has been off since.

Getting a rapid clicking noise when trying to start the van. Had starter bench tested, it passed. Put on new (remanufactured) starter, same rapid clicking. Put back on old starter, same rapid clicking... No idea what could be the cause.  Battery tested good. Connections are clean and tight. Alternator? Starter relay? Please help! Thanks!

I would also check the battery terminals for corrosion and condition of cables from the battery. Definitely load test the alternator.

So, you are saying that the starter does not crank. Correct?

If this is the case, then your starter is not functioning well or the wires to the starter does not have good connection. Try this: Connect wires directly from your battery to the stater and see if it turns over or not. If it turns over, you have connection issue.

Bad electrical connection...not passing full voltage and amperage to starter. Most likely a bad ground wire connection.
