My dad has a 2003 camry v6 with 163k miles and when going down hills on the highway it jerks and shudders but normally has no issue when driving on flat road or uphill we have tried spark plugs and replaced the pcv valve. The check engine light isnt on. Any idea what it could be?

When it jerks, push the throttle. If it goes away, you might need to change your fuel injectors.
