Dear Scotty,
I have a 2003 Honda Civic ES5 (JDM) Manual Transmission car which I purchased recently. Ever since I bought it , ride quality is shockingly low. Its very bumpy and uncomfortable. I cheeked via a mechanic and he says all four shocks are brand new and correct ones and were recently replaced. ( Taiwan made TOCIKO Shocks) . My Mechanic advised me to change the rack ends and bushes which didn't fix the issue. Now he's advising me to change the shocks even though they are perfectly fine. Your advise please.

The shocks you have on the car, though new, are bottom of the line junk. Get KYB or Bilstein shocks; you'll be amazed at the difference.
Thank you for the reply. I don't have Bilstein in my country but do have KYB. How about Showa shocks?
Besides what @Doc mentioned, Civics don't have a smooth ride comparing to bigger size sedans.
I'm not comparing with other cars rather the same model. Before this I had a 02 JDM ES8 1.5l CVT. And that was amazingly smoother. I know a manual can make a difference. Bit mine is shear uncomfortable
