Saw a clean-looking '03 Saturn Ion with a standard transmission and about 100k miles. Do you think it could be a reliable car? They are asking 2k for it.

Please take my advice. Do NOT buy one of those. I have an 06 and it falls apart between 90-100 thousand miles. Buy an older Toyota and Honda and avoid the constant problems with a gm car.

No those cars are awful. I had one for a brief period and it was easily the worst car I've ever own. Do not buy that car. Since your in the market for a car I'd suggested Honda or Toyota and to check Autotempest.com to find the best Honda or Toyota for you.
