Hello! I recently purchased a 2003 Toyota Tundra RWD SR5 V8 with 254,000 miles. It purrs and shifts great but the front bottoms out on speed bumps. I have one leaking rear strut. I plan on replacing all 4 struts/shocks, what struts/shocks do you recommend?

Monroe quick strut is a plug and play solution, shock and spring are factory assembled so no spring compressor required.

I was thinking about those, but I hear mixed reviews. Do you know where is a good place to purchase them or KYB?

I'm not based in the USA unfortunately, but check out the below:

Bilstein 4600 series is a pretty economical way to go. Very good, too!

FRONT Part #: 24-185387, you need two.

REAR Part #: 24-185394, you need two.

I don’t think you will be disappointed with the price, quality and service of these shocks.

I got 2001 Tundra 2WD and replaced rear with Bilstein 5100? After reading reviews. Have had them on for ~20k miles and happy so far! I too read mixed reviews on Monroe. Think Scotty also poo-hooed. Can’t comment on fronts.

In your opinion do you recommend replacing the springs with the struts? I hear some people say you don't need to.

Is your truck sagging? Is it uneven side to side, or diagonally? If it is, is it much? If not, … and all four fender hights are reasonably close to spec, just replace dampeners, … reuse springs, check mounts and replace those if these look fishy.

Thanks! I really appreciate your quick response and detail. 🙂
