2004 Acura MDX multiple issues

Hello,

I just recently purchased a used 2004 Acura MDX w/145xxx miles.

Water pump and timing belt have been replaced.

Rear brakes have been replaced.

My issues:

Rear AC is not blowing air.

VSA light on

Front driver side tie rod leaking from the end opposite of the tire.

Screeching noise when starting.

Main concern is:

The brakes don't feel responsive. It seems like I have to put real effort when pushing  down on the brake pedal in order for the vehicle to stop.

Some people have suggested new brakes, adding more brake fluid or replacing the master cylinder.

Any suggestions?

Thank you !!!

Well for no symptoms the first thing I try would be a new brake master cylinder

I believe your MDX is front wheel drive, meaning, the leak you are talking about is coming from the drive shaft, not the tie rod.

Well it's AWD but yes you are correct. Not the tie rod it's the cv axle. It's leaking. I wonder if I'm able to just change it out. I used to change these out all the time on humvees while in the military.

That is the way I would go, just change out the axles with remans and get a fresh start.
