2004 ford explorer pats bypass?

Hi all, I have a little bit of a pickle here. I have a 2004 Ford Explorer on my hands  And the only key seems to have lost its programming. To avoid having to pay off giant towing bill to the nearest dealership, I'm wondering if there is a way to bypass the PATS antitheft system? or a way to program a new key myself?

Any and all info helps. Thanks

That takes some fancy wiring tricks & most likely the failure of the g.e.m.

Order a set off of Amazon (keys, ignition lock & key fob) then have them programmed by a locksmith. He doesn't have to cut them so that saves a couple bucks.

 

If you lose your door key there's also an option to get all three locks.
