Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums and to car ownership, I have a 2004 Mazda 6 2.3L with 135k that was given to me by a friend for $300, I was having idling problems with it and replaced the MAF sensor then we found out it had a truck battery and replaced that for the one it needs, the last fix we did to the car was valve cover gasket replacement, the car wasn't starting after that and we messed around with the fuses and now the car will crank but not start.
I haven't started the car in about a year and I'm worried if this would even be worth the fix, the car still tries to crank, but I was told to replace the crank shaft sensor.
I don't have much money and subpar credit, but would it be better for me to try to get a car instead of even trying to fix this?
I don't think it's time to give up on it yet. It could still be something really simple.
