I have a 2004 tahoe with 177,542 miles on it i was driving on the highway and suddenly my engine starting sounding like it was being forced my speed went down and my rpm gauge went all the way up like it was reving the engine then it said Transmission hot i pulled over and let it cool and it went into limp mode and didn't let me go above 30 mph

well you could have an issue with the tranny, or with your cooling system.
A diagnostic scan might reveal some clues.
