Hi Scotty, I just want to say I’m a big fan, I have been watching your videos for a pretty long time now, but this is the first time I’m writing I need of your expertise, I bought a 2004 Toyota 4Runner with 250K on the odometer, I bought it from a friend he rebuilt part of the engine put some new piston rings and some other maintenance was done, a month after I bought the car my check engine came on, and I scan the vehicle and I’m having misfires, at first was cylinder 2 and 6 so I change all the coils and spark plugs, but now I have a miss fire on cylinders 2, 4 & 6 LOL, battery is good it reads 12.78 V when vehicle is off, I’m thinking probably to mess around with the variable valve timing solenoid for bank two and see what happens, the codes that I’m getting are P0300, P0302, P0304, P0306, please if you can direct me with your knowledge on what else I can take into account.

I would get a dry/wet compression test to see what the real story is regarding those "new" piston rings.
