Hello all,
I have an 2004 Toyota Matrix that has a rough idle after it is warmed up. I've checked the air filter, mas air flow sensor and the parts are clean. It also has a ticking noise under the hood coming from the driver side part of the car. Any ideas? Perhaps new spark plugs?

Before doing anything you should get the car scanned to see if their are any codes and jumping to conclusions.
You can go to a local autozone and ge the car scanned for free as well as a local parts store which may offer that service as well. but not in CA.
The rough idle and ticking noise might come from the dirty/bad fuel injectors. It is a good idea to clean the fuel injectors and change your spark plugs and hopefully the issues will be solved.
Update***
So I checked the spark plugs and (1) one was covered in oil. The other (3) three were normal oil burn color. In this case what would that mean? The engine is wearing out? Because only (1) one plug was covered in oil.
