Hi Scotty & crew,

Looking for a reliable minivan, found this, and wondering if it's worth further inquiry/scrutiny. I'm not constantly on the go; just grocery, drug store and such, and tend to consolidate errands whenever possible.

2004 Toyota Sienna LE Minivan 4D, asking $3,900:

Driven 143,000 miles

Automatic transmission
[NOTE: not my preference, but I only found manual transmission on a rare few Mazda mazda5 mini-mini vans, no longer sold in the U.S. I really wouldn't mind one of those, actually.]

17.0 MPG city · 25.0 MPG highway · 20.0 MPG combined
Fair condition.

This minivan was used for business. Very reliable!

It can be decent one. Have your mechanic check the car before purchase. Realize that it has a V6 interference engine, considering the age and mileage of the car, make sure that the timing belt has been taken care of. If not, it is an expensive job.

Thanks. I'll def have it checked out by a mechanic. But before I do, I'm gonna scan it with my Blue Driver. Is that something that would throw a code or even something I would be able to see/hear before I waste the time and money for a mechanic to check it out?

You're welcome. Unfortunately, the timing belt is not throwing a code. What you can do is to check under the hood for a date if it has been replaced. It should be a handwritten mileage and date. The thing is that if you figured out it has not been replaced, you can lower the price.
