2005 Hyundai Elantra fuel injector problem

Topic starter

Just replaced my original fuel injectors after ~159k. I put in the replacement ones and now my car will take a little longer to start, and sometimes have a weak start thrown in there. I did put fuel injector cleaner in the tank to help clean the gunk out FYI. I live in CA so I need CA approved injectors to pass smog but I don't wanna pay $50 per OEM injector. I still have the old injectors that ran fine, I replaced them hoping my mileage would increase by a little.

What do I do?

Fuel injectors just spray so they can get clogged up but they don't wear out that often even on older cars. You need to put the old injectors back in. If the problem persists past that reply to THIS post and I can help from there

Apparently, your new fuel injectors are not good at all.

Put the OEM Fuel injectors back and ask a mechanic to pressure clean them.

One question for you:

Why did you replace the injectors in the first place?

@yaser
I replaced them because I thought it might help my terrible mileage in this car. I'm gonna put the old ones back in tomorrow! I gonna run some injector cleaner through the tank to help.
