Looking at a 2005 Sable LS with the Duratec 30 V6. Any specific issues I should take particular note of when I'm inspecting the car?

You did not state mileage or price.
Those cars are known for transmission problems. You'd be starting out with a car that is already 19 years old, how much longer do you realistically expect to get from it?

The low mileage is highly suspect and would need to be verified. The price is too high for a nearly two-decade-old Sable.
