195,500 miles. The Toyo all season tire tread depth in pretty good condition for all four wheels but the car skids on level wet roads and make loud skidding noises occasionally. Took it to a hilly road in Seattle downtown on a rainy day …… I literally skipped my way up the hill very loudly for at least 30 seconds while the car was slightly swerving left and right. What tires should I use for this car? Thanks
I'm not a fan of the modern Toyo tires. I find that Michelin tires never have that problem. Now I'm assuming that thing does not have ABS on it, but if it has ABS and or traction control that system might be acting up.

How old are those tires? Tread depth is irrelevant if the rubber is old and hard.
@chucktobias came with the car when I bought it a few months ago so I have no idea. It’s time to change them anyways now….
It's trivial to find out the age of the tires, just look at the manufacturer's date code. However if you're getting rid of them anyway it doesn't much matter.
I've been happy with the Goodyear Eagle RS-A's on my 09 Matrix (same car, different badges). I believe they are the brand/spec that came with it. Anyway, good tread life, great traction/cornering, surprising how much cheaper they are at Walmart than at tire stores.
