Hey, scotty. I am in the process of purchasing a 2005 limited toyota 4runner v8. It has 220K miles in it. I know that the engine has a timing belt and is an interference engine. It seems like its been well taken cared of. Barely any rust, the guy had it coated to protect against rust. The guy is asking $5k, but I think I can get him down to $4k. Do you think this is a good buy? How long typically do these car lasts? If I can get at least 100K miles out of it, I think it would be a good buy for me, but would it last that long?

Jump on it, if you can get it for that then it is a steal and you are making off like a Bandit.

220k miles, that thing even with bare minimum maintenance it will last the same amount of miles again.
