I have an odd metal grinding sound on the rear driver side when hitting the brakes on my 2005 Toyota Corolla le. I thought it may have been my drum brakes but it was not. Any advice on things to check and possibly replace? I notice the noise mainly when going slow and applying the brakes. Thanks in advance!

Well if it only happens when you do the brakes lightly odds are your brakes shoes are glazed I would replace them
Both shoes and drums were replaced and work completely fine. I did it just how you should and everything went together with no problem. Anything else?

You may be able to lightly sand the glaze off the pads. Worked for me one time. If not, new pads are cheap.
