2005 Toyota RAV4 going nuts

Hopefully an easy one. Got a 2005 Rav4 with 150K on it that will intermittently lock and unlock the doors. Sometimes it goes nuts and does it repeatedly for an extended period of time so to prevent battery drainage I pulled the fuse for that system. I also occasionally get nuisance warning lights like traction control and low tire pressure etc. This to me sounds like a BCU malfunction.

Also, the idol just started goes down low to make it almost stall at a stop, but that went away. Twice it lacked power when accelerating but that also went away. This to me sounds like an ECU problem.

Can BOTH modules have gone bad, or will a problem in one trigger the other to fault. If so, which one is more likely to effect the other? I thought I would ask what you thought before going through the huge list of diagnostics to start ruling things out.

Any insight would be appreciated.

How old is the battery and have you load tested it recently?

I'd suggest getting the vehicle scanned for any codes and start from there.

I have a scanner but it's not a "toyota" scanner. are theirs more in-depth or will mine ( AutoZone type) yield the same results. I'll put it on there tomorrow.

I had similar issues in my Toyota.  The battery needs load tested. Any scan tool can read the trouble codes. My steering angle sensor failed and caused my skid control light and abs light to come on. It was not the computer module, but a sensor in the loop with the computer that caused multiple issues with everything on that module.
