Hi!
I have a 2005 Toyota Tundra, Auto, 4.7 V8, RWD, Double Cab, 185k miles.
At Toyota dealership I had a transmission fluid drain and refill back in September along with other preventative maintenance, this smoothed out shifts.
Recently, when I drive it on my usual route, in 2 spots the transmission will hold the gear and it'll rev freely up to 3-4k rpm and not shift, it'll do this for ~5 seconds and then eventually it does shift. If I let off the gas and try again it still is in the same gear, so I have to "power" through it accelerating more.
I took it to a transmission shop and they checked and said it's shifting fine. Which is does 99% of the time. It's just those two spots randomly it'll hang onto the gear and not want to shift and rev freely. Fluid level is fine.
Any thoughts?

It's not a good shop. Try another. Take the mechanic with you on a test drive and physically show him the problem.
I also suggest parking the vehicle and using another. The transmission will quickly destroy itself if you drive it.
