I have a 2006 Ford Explorer 4.0 V6 150k. I have replaced the radiator 4 times because it cracks in the upper plastic area, it’s cracked again ready for a new one.

Well, the good news is that you probably have a lifetime warranty on your radiator. Bad news is that you have to do the work to replace it. Make sure it is sitting all the way down when you install it and that nothing is worn and allowing the hood to close lower than normal and possibly contacting the top of the radiator.

Are you using the same radiator each time?

I have a Ranger 4.0 from 2007 and haven’t had an issue with the radiator, that’s odd.
